Does your DJ have a code of ethics?

Ask your DJ about their CODE! This is their promise to you, their commitment to service. It should be in writing...here's mine! 

1. Entertainer/DJ must be professionally dressed prior to and at all events (i.e. weddings, anniversary parties and corporate functions) and when possible and when appropriate wear a tuxedo.

2. Entertainer/DJ will maintain equipment to achieve a clean, aesthetically pleasing presentation. Entertainer/DJ will report any equipment problems in writing after the event.

3. Drugs and or alcohol are not permitted under any circumstances at the event, prior to the event, while setting up, performing, or breaking down.

4. Entertainer/DJ will provide consultation services, in person or on the phone, to all brides and grooms and corporate clients within a reasonable period before the event date.

5. Entertainer/DJ will arrive at least an hour before an event and be set up, with music playing, at least 10 minutes before the contracted/scheduled start time.

6. Entertainer/DJ will cooperate with (vendors: i.e. Cake, Photo, Catering, Banquet, etc) Staff associated with the event.

7. Entertainer/DJ will introduce him/herself to the banquet manager or coordinator in charge of reception/event to coordinate the day's events before the bride and groom's (or corporate client) arrival. Entertainer/DJ will provide an extra copy of the clients agenda as needed

8. Entertainer/DJ will return telephone calls to clients within 24 hours of the original call, before and after the contract is signed.

9. Entertainer/DJ will check and maintain Volume during the cocktail and dinner hour to be at a reasonable level in order for conversation to easily occur. Several Sound checks will be done throughout the event to ensure appropriate volume levels.

10. Entertainer/DJ understands that Profanity is strictly prohibited on and off the microphone.

11. Entertainer/DJ will always maintain a professional, positive and friendly attitude.

12. Entertainer/DJ should congratulate the bride and groom personally on their arrival.

13. Entertainer/DJ agrees to support and honor all commitments arranged with the client.

14. Entertainer/DJ will assist the customer in any way possible to ensure a successful event.

15. Entertainer/DJ will be responsive to and available for customers before, during and after the booking.

16. Entertainer/DJ will not divulge secrets of the Star Productions Methods and practices of Performance with our local competitors.

17. Entertainer/DJ, when working with Staff Lead on the event, will do assigned duties as asked and will do assigned duties in a professional manner with a good attitude.

18. Entertainer/DJ will make every effort to play customers requests. They will also make sure to not play songs on our do not play list as requested in advance.

19. Entertainer/DJ will refrain from discriminatory practices in dealing with customers and associates. Professional attitudes are necessary throughout the performance, despite any occurrences.

20. Entertainer/DJ will maintain a fun and professional attitude!!!
